Have you heard? Filterfresh customers can soon look forward to enjoying Starbucks K-cups from their office Keurig coffee brewers. Starbucks Corp. and Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc. have reached a deal that will bring single-cup Starbucks coffee and Tazo tea pods to Keurig coffee machines.
The agreement announced March 10 between the Seattle coffee chain and the single-serve coffee brew maker provides for the manufacturing, marketing, distribution and sale of the pods for Green Mountain’s Keurig single-cup brewing system. Green Mountain will make the new Starbucks coffee line available to Filterfresh customers in the U.S. and Canada starting in the fall.
According to the company, Starbucks and Green Mountain are also looking to offer Starbucks K-Cup pods and Keurig machines at Starbucks stores and to make the Starbucks pods available through Green Mountain’s web sites and Starbucks’ web site beginning next year.
